實測「The new iPad」與多款平板電腦作業溫度

根據気になる、記になる…網站消息，稍早PC World針對包含Apple新一代「iPad」在內的多款平板電腦，進行機身溫度的量測，結果如以下圖表，其中的」待機狀態」，是以5~10分鐘的待機時間為標準，而遊戲的執行，則是以「Riptide GP」執行一小時做為量測標準。

由圖表可看出，充電狀態下的各款產品，機身溫度均比單靠電池供電來得高，而新一代「iPad」雖然整體的溫度均比「iPad 2」來得高，但量測過程中，並未出現部分消費者反應的高溫狀態。

此外，由於各款平板電腦內建的電池容量、機身材質等，均未在這次的測試中做為參考條件，因此，若考量到新一代「iPad」具備了比他款產品高上約兩倍的電池容量，那麼若假設採相似的條件，並進行客觀比較，推測新一代「iPad」應該只比平均值高上攝氏1~2度。

Apple’s Chilly Response to iPad Heat Complaints

t’s not uncommon for Apple enthusiasts to start finding fault with their new gadget within a couple days of buying the latest and greatest.

In some rare cases — most famously, with the iPhone 4 antenna — Apple may end up acknowledging some validity to the griping.

But for now, at least, that’s not what’s happening when it comes to reports that the new iPad kicks out more heat than its predecessors.

Here’s their statement, via Apple PR’s Trudy Muller:

“The new iPad delivers a stunning Retina display, A5X chip, support for 4G LTE plus 10 hours of battery life, all while operating well within our thermal specifications. If customers have any concerns they should contact AppleCare.”

新 iPad 上市第一天，Kindle、Evernote、Vimeo 等 App 推出 Retina 強化版

好不容易突破了重重人群（呃，又好像不用？）買了台全新的新 iPad，沒有能 100% 發揮出新螢幕爽度的 App 怎麼行呢？聽見了各位拼命三郎的聲音，Kindle、Evernote、Vimeo 等 App 都在今天宣佈了更新，確保漏夜排隊的辛苦果粉們能在第一時間有熱騰騰的高畫質 App 玩。Kindle App 除了字體變得更銳利之外，還多了個自由在本機和雲端的書本間切換的功能；Evernote 則是在畫面變漂亮之外，加強了文字編輯的功能；Vimeo 則是...就畫面強化而已，沒有改其他的東西。

這想必只是第一波而已，更多的 Apps 正準備出改版來把新 iPad 的 Retina Display 發揮到極致。再來就等...拿到新 iPad 啦！
